I am grateful for a lovely weekend with family. My partner and I enjoyed four hours of driving there and back to chat about anything and everything - and in between we had a really relaxing time sitting on the deck, sipping hot chocolate, eating good home cooked meals and chat chat chatting. I even took the time to look back through some old family pictures and reminisce which was a bit of a laugh.
I am especially grateful for this weekend as it may be one of the last as the place my mum lives in is being sold so it looks like we may no longer have any family in the little rural valley where we all were born and spent the early years. Must be time for some new beginnings!
